Worked example
A freelancer adds a client's domain. The site is a Laravel app with a marketing site and a blog. Here is the whole run, in order.
robots.txt points to a sitemap index. The index lists three child sitemaps, one of them gzipped. All three are read and 42 URLs are queued. Nothing is typed in by hand.
Each URL gets 14+ on-page checks: title length, meta description, heading order, canonical, images and alt text, structured data, word count, page size and load time. Domain-level checks cover robots.txt, SSL, HTTPS redirects and sitemap validity.
The homepage scores 74. Five blog posts are missing meta descriptions, a warning. Two product pages sit behind a redirect chain, a critical. Every issue is grouped by severity, so the client sees the two things that matter before the twenty that do not.
The report opens with an executive summary, then the page list sorted by score. CSV export gives the freelancer the raw rows for their own spreadsheet. The domain re-scans weekly on Starter and daily on Pro and Agency.
14+ on-page checks per page, plus domain-level checks for robots.txt, SSL, HTTPS redirects, sitemap validity, duplicate content and crawl budget. The full list is above.
No. We read robots.txt for sitemaps, follow nested sitemap indexes and handle gzipped files. Add a domain and the pages queue themselves.
One page, a 0-100 score, and the issues we find, in about two seconds with no account. Full-site discovery, scheduled scans, executive summaries and history come with a plan.
Yes. CSV export is on every plan and includes page-level scores, issues, meta tags, headings and structured data.
The page loses points by severity: critical -5 to -15, warning -3 to -10, info -2 to -3. The issue is listed with the pages it affects so the fix can be made once across the pattern.
