Birdeye is a reputation and reviews platform for local businesses. It gathers customer feedback, routes it to Google and other sites, and uses AI agents to help reply at scale. It is built around what customers say about a business. SEO by Daniel audits the website itself: titles, headings, crawlability, speed, and a 0-100 score. Those are different jobs, and the vendors do not pretend otherwise. A local brand with a healthy profile and a broken site needs both, because a review platform will never flag a missing title tag.
A dental group with four locations uses Birdeye to collect reviews and reply to them. The review flow works. Ratings climb from 4.2 to 4.6 over a quarter. The owner treats local search as handled.
Then a patient searches the group name, finds the profile, and clicks through to a location page. The page loads a 3 MB hero image, has no meta description, and shares a title with the other three locations. Nothing in Birdeye would surface any of it, because Birdeye tracks what people say, not what the page does.
The group's developer runs the domain through SEO by Daniel. Four location pages show duplicate titles and missing descriptions; the homepage scores 61. They fix the templates in an afternoon. Reviews kept the profile competitive, but the audit stopped the clicks from landing on a slow, duplicated page. The review flow had told them the profile was healthy. It could not tell them the page was not. Neither tool would have caught the other's problem.

Pick Birdeye when reviews and reputation are the bottleneck. Generating feedback, replying at scale and protecting a star rating is its own discipline, and it is not something a website crawler does.
Pick SEO by Daniel when the profile is fine but the site it points to is not. A strong rating buys the click; a healthy page has to hold it. For a local business doing both, the two tools sit at opposite ends of the same funnel: one earns the click, the other has to survive it.
Will Birdeye tell me if my landing pages are slow? No. It reports reviews, surveys and reputation. Page speed and title tags sit outside it.
Can SEO by Daniel manage reviews? No. It audits the website. If reviews are the bottleneck, keep Birdeye.
Do I need both? If local search matters, yes. One protects what people say; the other checks the page they land on.
